Volunteer Information

Please arrive promptly at your designated time below to The Union: Ballroom 314 (1155 Union Circle, Denton, TX 76203) wearing all black clothing.

Everyone must check in upon arriving on the day of the show to receive your color ID badge. Wear your ID badge at all times because it is your access to the fashion show and backstage areas. Please understand that backstage areas are for authorized personnel only. Do not bring family or friends backstage.

Please note that a light lunch will be provided on the way of the show. There will also most likely be a lot of down time. Once complete with your duties and responsibilities, we ask that you bring study materials to prepare for your exams, or something to work on between task, as you will not be permitted to leave.

 

Night Backstage Set- Up Crew: 6pm- 10pm

Please arrive promptly at 6:00 pm Friday, May 4th to the to check in. You will be responsible for the setup of rolling racks, organization of clothing, program folding, and badge construction.

 

Day Backstage Set-Up Crew: 9am- 6pm

Please arrive promptly at 9:00pm on Saturday, May 5th to The Union: Union Ballroom 314 to check in wearing all black clothing. You will be responsible for making sure that setup is going as planned (lighting, chairs, etc.) You will also be responsible for placing the programs on all seating, reserving the reserved section, etc.

 

Producers Assistants: 9am- 10pm

Please arrive at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 4th to WTC 149 and 9:00 am on Saturday, May 5th to The Union Ballroom 314 wearing all black clothing. You will be responsible for assisting the producers of the show. This involves all processes from dressing to model run-throughs. You will also be responsible for all check-ins.

 

Ushers/Ticket Crew: 4pm- 6:30pm

Please arrive promptly at 5:00 pm on Saturday, May 5th to The Union: Union Ballroom 314 to check in. You will be spread through the union assisting guest to the ballroom. You will also be assisting guest to their seat as well as checking tickets to make sure everyone had purchased a ticket to the event.

 

After Show Cleanup: 4pm-10pm

Please arrive promptly at 5:00pm on Saturday, May 5th to The Union: Union Ballroom 314 to check in. Once the show is complete, it will be your responsibility to break down the setup of the room. You will also be responsible for the transportation of all rolling racks, walls, etc back to welch street complex. The yard signs that were also placed around campus to advertise the show will also need to be collected and brought back to the fashion building.

Dresser Information

As a dresser, it is your responsibility to make sure the model is dressed in each of their designated looks. You are also responsible for knowing the closures (buttons, zippers, hook, & eyes, elastic) for every garment; You must be able to dress/ undress your designated model in a timely manner. Because of this, you will also be in charge of fitting garments on a designated model.

Models will be assigned a dresser and a station within the backstage area. You must stay with your dresser, in your station at all times. Dressers are also responsible for keeping their stations organized.

These garments need to be handled with the upmost care, and we ask that you respect each one as if it was your own.

You MUST be in the back-stage area by 5:00pm and in your first looks by 5:15pm in preparation for the start of the show.

Model Information

Please arrive promptly at 10:00AM on Saturday, May 5th to The Union: Union Ballroom 314 (1155 Union Circle, Denton, TX 76203) wearing black leggings and a black tank. Men should wear a black t-shirt and black bottoms.

Everyone must check in upon arriving on the day of the day of the show to receive your color ID badge. Wear your ID badge at all times because it is your access to the fashion show and backstage areas. Please understand that backstage areas are for authorized personnel only. Do not bring family or friends backstage.

A run-through will start promptly at 1:00 pm and finish at 4:00pm. Hair/make-up is consistent throughout the show amongst all models. It is your responsibility for hair and makeup to be completed by the professional crew BEFORE the run through begins.

Please note that if you DO NOT show up at the designated time stated above and do not participate in the mandatory run-through, you will be replaced in the line –up and you will not walk in the show. NO EXCEPTIONS!!

You MUST be in the back – stage area by 5:00pm and in your first looks by 5:15pm in preparation for the start of the show.

 Please Bring:

·       A variety of neutral colored heels (i.e.: black, grey, metallic and nude). DO NOT bring heels with buckles or straps because they are difficult to put on and take off.

·       Your makeup foundation done with a variety of light colored lipstick options.

·       Bobbie pins

·       Hair ties

·       Flesh tone/ Nude Underwear (ie. Bras, sticky cups, and panties)

·       Deodorant
