Describe your collection's theme.: My collection is thick quilted winter jackets and ready to wear separates. I used different shades of blues and deep maroon/pinks to creates strong color blocking. My inspiration comes from the unique architectural work of the Spanish architect, Gaudi. I am really drawn to his use of strong organic shapes, intricate details, and elaborate building structures.

What is your favorite part of the design process?: My favorite part of the design process is actually sewing the garment up. After the pattern is made, and the fabric is cut, I am most excited to finally make my vision come to life.

What are you inspired by?: I am inspired by many different things, but mostly people that continue to work hard to achieve their goals, whatever that may be.

Who is your favorite designer?: My favorite designer is Valentino because of the romance of their garments and beautiful use of textiles.

What is your dream job?: My dream job would be to work for companies I strongly admire, like the classics; Valentino or Dior, or some of the more contemporary labels like Off-White or Peter Pilotto.

Any hobbies outside of fashion design?: My hobbies outside of fashion design are traveling and exploring other cultures, cooking, hula hooping, and attending concerts/festivals.

What are your plans after graduation?: My plans after graduation are to travel a bit and reflect on where I feel my place in the fashion industry is. I want to have a positive role in the industry that promotes body equality and ethical fashion.

What have you learned/any advice for other fashion design students?: My other advice for fashion students is too not compare your design journey or success to other artists. We all have our own path, and if you continue to dedicate your hard work towards your goals, you can achieve them.
