Describe your collection's theme.: Casual summer spring vibes
What is your favorite part of the design process?: My favorite part of the design process would for sure be the construction stage, just getting to see the garment slowly come together and at the end putting the final touches on it all and feeling so accomplished. That moment when you step back and look at the garment and think "damn I did that!"
What are you inspired by?: I get a lot of my inspiration from vibes, and aesthetics that I see on social media, it isn't always something in particular that gives me inspiration, it could be as simple as a color story, or as complex as the meaning behind a vague poem and the mood it made me feel.
Who is your favorite designer?: I've recently been really into Walter Van Beirendonck, he has an eclectic and whimsical outlook on things while having impeccable construction.
What is your dream job?: I would love to become a costume designer, working on broadway, films, and tv shows.
Any hobbies outside of fashion design?: I am a cheerleader for the university and that how i spend most of my time outside of fashion design. d
What are your plans after graduation?: After graduation I plan on...well we'll see where the wind takes me.
What have you learned/any advice for other fashion design students?: Don't get stuck on an idea, it's okay to develop and change your designs as you work through things. For the most part it'll always end up better than what you originally had in mind.
